Year 3 Camp

The highlight of our first day was a swim in the beautiful UISZ swimming pool. After we had all cooled off and had plenty of fun going down the green and yellow slides, we went back to camp to get ready for dinner. Following dinner was a first time experience for many children, Mr Pepperell and the leaders built a camp fire and we all sat around it. The flames were big to begin with, but as the fire became smouldering ash the roasting of marshmallows began! Once sticky fingers had been licked and cleaned, the children settled down to listen to a few camp fire stories and even give a few twists to the story themselves.

Day 1

On Wednesday the 26th of October, the Year 3 campers set off to begin their camping adventure at Utahloy’s Zeng Cheng campus. After many weeks of preparation and tent pitching practice, we were all ready and extremely excited for what lay ahead. Upon arrival at UISZ, we immediately had our snack and the children tried to contain their excitement before heading off on a tour around the school. It was incredibly hot, but we all had to admit what a beautiful campus it was. All of our tent pitching practice paid off as we set up camp and were assigned to our tents.
