Year 3 Fieldtrip

After 7 weeks of inquiring about Rainforests in our Sharing the planet unit of Inquiry, we went on a fieldtrip to have our very own experience of a Rainforest. We took time to eat our snack and play in the open fields of the Botanical Garden before arriving at the ‘dome’ that contained the impressive Rainforest.

Upon entering we all immediately felt the sticky humidity that we had been reading about in our research. The trees towered above us and there was the sound of water in the distance. It felt as though we had been whisked away in ‘Magic School Bus’ style to the nearest tropical rainforest!
