The playground is for children
ages 12 and under.
Near the playground, Depot Park has several spaces
for families to sit, relax and meet new people.
Depot Park includes:
- An extensive and inclusive playground for children ages 12 and under
- The famous “Blue Grotto” with waterfalls, ground jets, water cannons, and hidden
fossils from the Florida Natural History Museum
- A promenade along the north side of the pond to enjoy up close views of wildlife
- Two rentable pavilions with picnic tables and grills for birthday parties, family
reunions, and the alike
- A conservation area
- The hill where live concerts and events occur
WHAT'S NEW IN GAINESVILLE

- The Depot General Store for guests to grab food and beverage
- The Share the Road Memorial where guests can learn how the bicycle safety
movement began right here in Florida
