PRESIDENT FUCHS MOVES IN Move-In Day 1: On August 16, President Fuchs & Mrs. Fuchs volunteered to be GatorAides at Broward Hall and assisted new students moving in. Although the Fuchs’ were staying in Jennings, this event started their weeklong tour of all campus buildings. The Fuchs’ first met students moving into Rawlings and Broward Halls. Again, many new freshmen had to recall who he was and many of their parents and families recognized the specialness of the moment. The Fuchs’ pushed carts, carried boxes, held doors and broke a sweat with the students moving in on this day. Move-in Day 5: On Saturday, August 20, the Fuchs’ residential experience came to a close. They returned their keys to the RAs working the checkin station and headed out. The Jennings staff loved having them, and we think they had a great time too! We are hoping for a return visit for Fall 2017! HRE ALUMNI MAGAZINE | UF STUDENT AFFAIRS 15
