UAB Medicine Guest Services is available 24/7 to help you and your family feel as comfortable
as possible during your time with us, so don’t hesitate to call on them by dialing *55 from any
hospital phone or calling 205-934-2273. In addition, Guest Services staff can be contacted
through the Emergency Department front desk or at the Guest Services desk on the 2nd floor
of the North Pavilion (outside of Starbucks). These two desks are open and staffed 24 hours a
day, 365 days a year.
Guest Services can directly assist or point you to a variety of services and amenities,
including:
• Chaplain and pastoral care services
• Patient advocacy
• Language interpretation/translation
• Social work
• Hotel and restaurant recommendations
• Directions and parking maps
• Cell phone charging
• Wi-Fi access
• Designated smoking areas
• Financial assistance program/charity care
