On February 18, the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center’s
Advisory Board hosted its annual ArtBLINK Gala at The
Kirklin Clinic of UAB Hospital to benefit the center’s Fund
for Excellence and patient and family services. Nearly 1,000
guests enjoyed the gorgeous décor by AG Lighting and Design,
delicious food by Iz Catering, music by the Rock Candy Band
and the ArtBLINK silent auction in which 17 artists each created
masterpieces in just 90 minutes. This year’s event raised more
than $600,000.
Presenting sponsors for ArtBLINK 2017 were AutoTec and
Regions. Platinum sponsors were Alabama Power, Altec,
Edwards Chevrolet, HealthSouth, P&S Transportation,
Protective, Starnes Davis Florie LLP, UAB and UAB Medicine.
Gold sponsors were BB&T, Bradley Arant Boult Cummings
