On February 20, the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Advisory
Board hosted its annual ArtBLINK Gala at The Kirklin Clinic of UAB
Hospital to benefit the center’s Fund for Excellence and patient
and family services. Nearly 1,000 guests enjoyed delicious food by
Iz Catering, music by the Rock Candy Band and the ArtBLINK silent
auction in which 18 artists each created masterpieces in just 90
minutes. This year’s event raised more than $600,000.
Presenting sponsors for ArtBLINK Gala 2016 were AutoTec, Jemison
Investment Co., and O’Neal Industries. Platinum sponsors were
Alabama Power, P&S Transportation, Protective, UAB Medicine
and UAB. Gold sponsors were Automation Personnel Services,
Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP, Burr & Forman LLP, DeShazo,
Edwards Chevrolet, the Featheringill Foundation, Medical Properties
