The Cancer Center has only had three
permanent directors in its 45-year history,
which is a testament to its strength and
stability. The founding director was John
Durant, M.D., who was followed by Albert
LoBuglio, M.D., a pioneer in monoclonal
antibody research. The current director
is Edward Partridge, M.D., a nationally
recognized leader in women’s cancers and cancer health disparities
among minorities and underserved populations.
