Pop Up Shop Opens
On Saturday the 5th of December we were incredibly
pleased to be given the opportunity to open a pop up
shop in the Deiniol Centre in Bangor. The shop
which was opened by the star of the BBC
programmes ‘The Hill Farm’ and ‘The Farmer and
the Food Chain’ Gareth Wyn Jones sold products
made by the trainees on the farm including pottery,
woodwork, clothing, cakes and fudge. The shop was
staffed by the trainees and staff from the farm and
helped the trainees develop a number of skills
including communication, customer service and
team work skills. The shop was also a great
opportunity to promote the charity and work with
other local organisations such as Coleg Menai who’s
Independent Living Skills students had a table in the
shop on the 10th. We would like to thank Kate Jones
from the Deiniol Centre for giving us the opportunity,
to the staff and trainees who have worked incredibly
hard in the shop and to everyone who has visited
and supported us over the last couple of weeks.
