Keep Wales Tidy Funding
We recently received vouchers from Keep
Wales Tidy as part of an initiative they are
running along with the Welsh Assembly
Government called Natural Buzz, it’s aim is
to create wild-flower heavens and to create
new habitats and food sources for
pollinators in Wales.
The incentive has allowed us to buy
pollinating plants, trees and shrubs which
encourage and nurture bees, butterflies and
other wildlife. Rowan, our gardening training
officer and 9 of the trainees bought the
plants and replanted the area outside the
cafe, which we hope people will be able to
enjoy whilst at the same time encouraging a
range of wildlife to the area.
I enjoyed going and buying the
plants and seeing them planted,
but I like to water and tend the
plants, mainly seeing them bloom.
Barry Roberts
It was a good experience, I like
digging the holes and think the
area looks ‘spot on’
Robert Carter
I like to plant the flowers and
watch them grow.
Talwrn Williams
I enjoyed putting the flowers into
the pots, I also like it when we
have visitors who see and say
how nice the farm looks and how
nice the plants are.
Julie Ramsden
I’m looking forward to seeing the
plants established, hopefully
encouraging bees into the garden
to improve the diversity.

Training Officer
