My Trip to London
By Mickey Lee
Hi, Mickey Elvis Lee here!!! I would like to tell you all about my trip to London in May.
My favourite signer is Elvis Presley and I have loads of CDs and go to Elvis shows
whenever I can.
My keyworker, Jon Hippy and I went to London in May to see an Elvis exhibition at the
O2. I had to get up very early at 4.30am to get a coach from Bangor. We had a bacon
butty at the train station and got on the coach at 7am. We arrived in London at 1.30pm
and went around the exhibition and saw loads of Elvis stuff, like his outfits, where he
grew up and his family. Also, a video of one of his concerts. It was very interesting and I
learnt loads of good stuff about Elvis, the King of rock and roll!!!
At about 5.30pm we got on the coach and travelled to our hotel, the Hilton. We went
through London and I saw lots of famous sights—Big Ben, London Eye and loads more.
I liked staying in the hotel as the staff were calling me SIR!! And we had music and TV
playing in the bathroom while I had a shower.
On Sunday we went back into London to do some shopping and I bought a present for
my Mum and Dad, and also my girlfriend, Lucy. We got back home at about 10pm. I
was very tired. I am saving up to go to Gracelands, where Elvis lived. I want to go on
my 30th birthday which is in 4 years. My keyworker, Jon Hippy is helping me budget
each week, so I can have enough money for this great trip.
Blackpool Darts
by Penri Davies
On the 19th of July I was supported by a member of
staff (Andy) on a coach trip to Blackpool to go and
watch a live Darts Competition in the evening. In the
day we went window shopping and went to the arcade
where I played Ten pin bowling which I loved playing, I
also played pool which I won. I also went to play
miniature golf which I am good at.
I was supported to get the tram to the Winter Gardens
Theatre, I showed two tickets and was shown to our
table, I was supported to get my beer before watching
the match, I got to watch four live games, the
atmosphere was very loud but I did enjoy it. It was the
first time that I have watched a live darts Match.
