Welcome to the second issue of the new Tyddyn
Môn newsletter and the first for 2015. The last few
months have been busy on the farm with a number
of Christmas events plus the opening of the new
cafe on the site by Sochyn Crimp. 2015 is looking
ahead to be a busy year with a host of events
planned including for the third year the Folk on the
Farm festival in July and Summer Fair which will be
held on June 20th, both of which are growing to be
incredibly popular events. Also planned for May this
year following last year’s popular Tales of the
Brothers Grimm walk is Tyddyn Môn’s contribution
to the Anglesey Walking Festival with a Pied Piper
themed walk around the farm. These events along
with others that are sure to be taking place in the
coming months are making 2015 a year to look
forward too.

Christmas Jumper Day
On the 12th of December trainees and staff took part in
Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day. The day
was started three years ago to help raise money and
support the work of the charity Save the Children, which
helps save and make the lives of children better around
the world. This is the first year that Tyddyn Môn have
taken part in the event and the turn out was great with
many of the trainees taking part and wearing their
Christmas jumpers, we would like to thank everyone
that participated and donated towards the cause, we
managed to raise nearly £40 from donations which will
be matched by the UK government who have pledged to
double what was made nationally on the day. A donation
to Save the Children will also be made by Tyddyn Môn
this year instead of sending out Christmas cards.
