tyddynmon.co.uk Pottery Sessions Over the last few weeks a number of the trainees have started taking part in pottery sessions on Thursday’s and Friday’s with Richard, a professional potter who has been teaching the trainees basic pottery skills and supporting them to produce a number of items, including mugs, Christmas decorations and other pieces which we hope we will be able to sell at future events on the farm. Many of the trainees have been keen to take part in the sessions and get involved with making the items and learning new skills. Phillip, Robert, Ricky and Bryn work on making Christmas decorations with clay Tidying up the Garden Work is continuing around the site on making the area more presentable and generally tidier. As part of this it has been decided that the potting shed in the garden will be taken down due to it becoming untidy. Some of the trainees have recently begun, with staff support, to pull down sections of the shed and tidy the area around it. The removal of the shed will also make space for the small tractor to access the garden area. Bryn and Barry work on disassembling the shed On Friday the 12th of December we will be taking part in Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day, and inviting staff and trainees to wear their Christmas jumpers and donate £2, or whatever they can give, to the charity Save the Children. 4 Tyddyn Môn Newsletter - Nov/ Dec 2014
