Describe Your Wedding Vision
I knew I wanted my wedding vision
to resemble something we both
love. NATURE! We are always
hiking with our dogs, identifying
plants and animals we come
across. I imagined my wedding
being that of whimsical natural
woodland. So many people asked
me why I didn’t have flowers in
my wedding and instead chose
greenery...I wanted it to feel like
one of our first dates, just walking
through the woods, taking in its
natural beauty.
Describe Your Wedding Day
I imagined my wedding full of laughter and happiness. Our wedding
was exactly that, regardless of the circumstances. We planned to have
our wedding so soon (June 9, 2017) in hopes that my father-in-law, who
had cancer at the time, would be present. That wasn’t the end result, but
I know he was still there with us, in our hearts, smiling down witnessing
the happiest day of our lives. My consistent tears on that day weren't tears
of sadness. They were tears of joy, happiness and the presence I felt of
my loved ones who weren't there with us on that day. We exchanged our
vows right before walking down the aisle, with a brick wall between us to
ensure we didn't see one another. We read our promises to each other, our
promises for our future and our vows for our new life together. We then
prayed for our family and friends who were there to witness the start to our
new journey, we prayed to God and we prayed to our loved ones in heaven.
