Dat Boi P was born as Calvin Keshawn Peake in Union, South Carolina. He is currently Independent with his family’s own imprint Hill Fam Entertainment. He is also ½ of the duo 2Smooth and there single “Main Lady” has been gaining airplay lately. Not only does he rap, but he also produces, being the man behind “Main Lady” By the age of 6 he was singing on the church choir, and by 12 he began rapping and recording songs. Pulling influences from artists like Tupac Shakuar, Notorious BIG, Run DMC, Hurricane Chris, Plies and Mystikal, by the time he was 16, he released his first mixtape “Smokin Session.” This project was produced By J@Roc who recently worked on projects with Lil Ru. Dat Boi P currently has 2 mixtapes out, “Smokin Session” , “Come Up”, and “Pizza Hut Shawty” which all three can be downloaded from datpiff.com. “WHO?” will make his fourth. In addition to having his four mixtapes, Dat Boi P was featured on “Empire Takeova 22”, a compilation of exclusive tracks from artists like Gucci Mane, Lil Wayne, T.I, Mary J. Blige and Usher. It is hard to believe that even with all of this success going on and rigorous studio schedules, Dat Boi P still has time to attend school at USC Upstate located in Spartanburg, South Carolina and chase an education. Growing up in a family where morals and beliefs were centrally important, it’s no surprise he adopted these values and sees his education as an extremely integral part of his life.Dat Boi P is currently in the studio working on a collabo mixtape with Brad Robb entitled “Betta Late Than Neva” and is always looking for fresh artists to throw down on his tracks. He has performed in various cities such as Greenwood, Greenville, Spartanburg, Atlanta, Charlotte and many more. He enjoys collaborating and creating new ideas, and the more creative minds he can bounce things off of, the better product he can deliver to his fans. Once “WHO?” is released he will also be looking for venues to feature his live performances.
