thought I had a plan of how
my article would be formatted until we spoke. The ManThe Mic-The Music is what I
pre-decided. But I learned in his revealing that he is far more than Rodney Lucas. He truly is his pen name
or shall I say his pen name is him;
“TAINTED”.

SEXUAL, in fact erotic. But, when ask
ed why he chose the name “TAINTED” he clearly stated, “Erotica seeps
from my pores… but TAINTED is the
way I act, react and interact with
people and my surroundings. My exterior is TAINTED with tattoos that
always confuse and mislead. I’m
often seen as a thug but I’m kinda
far from that life.” He delved deeper into the birthing of “TAINTED”
and it became clear that since his
innocence was taken at the hands
of predators from age of 12 until he
was 17 years old. They stripped him
of Rodney and what remained was
“TAINTED”.
His story is shared through his works.
From every sexual elicit poem, status change on his social networks his
soul is revealed. He is the sex guru
according to his followers. A dedicated poet using his craft as a form
of therapy for his readers and followers, but most of all it is for the release
of all that is “TAINTED” in him.

VICTIM
As I played dress up with dolls I was
drowning in distance and confused
pass the point of purity.
Subdued in insecurity.
The mind of a nine year old could
not begin to comprehend the madness that unfolded as he staggered
in a drunken dazed towards me with
one hand on his zipper and the other hand with his finger over his lips
saying,
“Don’t you dare make a whisper!”
With every thrust my innocence
slipped further into the depths of destruction.
Manifesting so much hated, animosity, damnation and destruction.
I shouldn’t have to scream for you to
hear my cry.
