Resources to Consider

A good website for funding a school project is Donor's Choice. It is much like Go Fund Me but is a site for educators. I could see using this site to generate funding for my advanced students to travel out of state, to museums or exhibitions, or to fund a large project for which the classroom funds would not be adequate. It would also be great to do a public art project.

Current projects range from teacher computers and student iPads, to standing desks for student, to comfy cushions for a reading area and even travel funds for various groups. Donor's Choice has over 2 million supporters, and some supporters will match donations for a chosen project, which with help fund the project much faster. I will definitely use this site!

Artsonia

by Valentina Dima

A great art website I found is Artstonia.com.  A teacher can put student art online for display.  Additionally, parents or viewers have the ability to even buy the art in order to fundraise money for the school's art club.

Artsonia is a great website to encourage students and promote their art.  It is great for building student self-esteem.
