Join local artist, Lynn Rae Lowe on a journey of creative
expression. As a teacher, she was an
originator of Colorado Artist in the school
program. Her adult program “Drawing It
Out” is based on her core belief that it’s not
that artists are special kinds of people, but
rather each person is a special kind of artist.

understanding of color and how to paint with watercolors,
while exploring Jewish themes. Ann Marcus Lapidus has
been teaching art in Tucson for over 20 years. Students are
responsible for their own supplies; an optional supply list will

NEW! Silk Painting: Learn to Make Scarves and
Silk Canvases
Tuesdays, March 6-20, 5:30 - 8:30 pm
Paint your own silk scarf using vibrant, flowing
dyes. You will use gutta to draw lines and salt
to create comet-like patterns. At the end of
the final session, you will take home your own
hand-painted scarf and a 5”x7” hangable piece.
$25 material fee due first day of class.

Floral Design with Jacqueline Gruhna
Jacqueline Gruhn is a certified floral designer and studied at the
Floral eDesign Institute of Seattle; L’ecole de Fleurs, Paris;
and the Judith Blacklock School of Floral Design, London.
Beginner
Thursdays, March 1 & 29, 2 – 5 pm
In this first design course, students learn about the care,
handling and proper processing of fresh flowers. Study will
combine the language of flowers, elements of design,
historical styles and color theory with practice.
Organic and Whimsical
Thursday, March 8, 2 – 5 pm
Using the abundance of spring flowers, students will learn
design secrets and methods of necessary mechanics used
to create a colorful arrangement in water for the home.
Skills practice using embellishments with ribbon and wire.
Southwest Design and Succulents
Thursday, March 15, 2 – 5 pm
See the beauty and texture in flowers as a work of art.
Create low, geometric arrangements using southwest
design and succulents while working in wet, floral foam.
Floral Design: Fruit and Flowers
Thursday, March 22, 2 – 5 pm
Design a beautiful garland, swag or centerpiece for your
table. Come with your color scheme and ideas to be guided
in creating an original keepsake using the skills learned
through the Floral Design series.
