A Taste of Mexico
Noon – 1:30 pm
It introduces a delicious variety of short readings about
a simple Mexican food/dish/place or tradition which will
please your knowledge and your palate. Practice your
Spanish reading comprehension, discover something new
and participate in a tribute to Mexican food and culture.
This is a scrumptious, adventurous learning and tasting
experience. All Spanish levels.

Spanish Cognates
1:45 – 3:15 pm
This workshop is for Beginners who want to learn lots of
Spanish words in a fast and fun way. Cognates are words
from two languages that are the same or similar. With
cognates you can acquire an instant Spanish vocabulary
of thousands of words.

Basic Verb Workshop
3:30 – 5:00 pm
Workshop will focus exclusively on basic Spanish verbs and
conjugations. As you learn more Spanish and your vocabulary
increases, you encounter the need to use more verbs.

Análisis de Noticias y Novedades
8 – 9:30 am
En esta clase analizaremos el texto y contexto de
noticias, novedades y temas de interés. En cada clase
se presentarán 3 temas diferentes los cuales estarán
divididos en tres segmentos de 30 minutos cada uno.
Excelente manera de practicar el español escrito y
hablado. ¡Participa! Esta clase se desarrolla totalmente
en español.

Cuentos de Eva Luna y un repaso de gramática
(Eva Luna Short Stories)
9:45 – 11:15 am
An anthology of 4 short stories by the renowned Chilean
writer, Isabel Allende. These stories will be a guide to
comprehension and include a concise review of key
elements of grammar. There will be discussion questions
before and after the reading as well as a specific
grammatical review after each story.

Conquering Spanish Verbs
11:30 am – 1:00 pm
For the more advanced student, this workshop will focus
exclusively on more difficult Spanish verbs - review,
relearn and maybe renew your confidence in using
advanced Spanish verbs forms correctly.

Fun with Spanish/Mexican Idioms
1:45 – 3:15 pm
Idioms are not only reserved for the native speakers;
learn to communicate ideas and thoughts in a simple,
imaginative and expressive way. Learning idioms will help
you become more proficient and feel more the language
since they are used in books, television, movies, songs,
and simply in everyday life.
