Basic Conversational Spanish

This course is for advanced beginners and low intermediate
students who mainly want to focus on conversational
Spanish with almost no grammar, but lots of vocabulary,
audio, videos, pictures, flash cards and games. Emphasis
will be on pronunciation, basic conversational phrases and
losing your shyness.

Continuamos con el Club del Libro. Todos leemos el
mismo libro y en cada clase analizaremos el contexto, los
personajes, expresiones, modismos y expresamos nuestras
opiniones sobre el tema del libro. Excelente práctica para
la lectura y comprensión. Libro: “El silencio de Galileo”, Luis
López Nieves.

Conversación Práctica y Español Avanzado

Esta clase es para aquellos quienes ya saben y quieren
practicar más español. Mejoraremos la pronunciación,
redacción y formas de expresión. Hablaremos de temas
actuales, participaremos en actividades y juegos divertidos
y creativos. Poca gramática, mucha conversación, lecturas,
videos, juegos y escritura sobre la interesante cultura
hispana. Clase totalmente en español ¡Disfruta y vive el
español!

This course is for students who can understand the main
ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics,
including discussions in different every day topics. There will
be an emphasis in conversation and writing, strengthened
and expanded by more complex verb forms, including the
present and past subjunctive, vocabulary and grammar.

NEW! Introduction to Spanish
Thursdays, September 28 - October 26, 11:30 am – 1 pm
This course is designed for the true beginners who, for the
first time or after a long time, will be introduced to Spanish
and would like to learn, understand and speak basic “every
day” Spanish in a stress free environment. It develops the
basic language skills: listening comprehension, speaking,
pronunciation and vocabulary acquisition.

NEW! Introduction to Spanish I
Thursdays, November 9 - December 14, 11:30 am - 1 pm
A continuation of Intro for those students who have already
been introduced to the structure and usage of nouns, verbs,
simple sentences and the verb “estar”. Students will gain
confidence in their ability to learn a second language and
will be prepared for further Spanish language instruction by
gaining sufficient vocabulary to form simple sentence.

For beginners and experienced artists. Explore your creative

A scheduled day leaves no room for play. Join us in this lab
setting to improve your clay skills. Experiment with a variety
of tools, try new textures, and some interesting flair! Material
fee is $30 and due on first day of class.

Basic Watercolor Techniques
Mondays, September 11 - October 2, 2:30 – 4:30 pm
Create your own watercolor paintings and gain a better
understanding of color and how to paint with watercolors.
You will be learning painting fundamentals while exploring
Jewish themes. Ann Marcus Lapidus has been teaching art
for over 20 years and currently teaches at the Tucson Museum
of Art and at the Temple Emanu-el Kurn Religious School. 
Students are responsible for their own supplies. An optional
supply list will be provided.
