Wings of the Desert by Ric Nielsen
July 14 - August 23 Wings of the Desert will focus on entomology and the patterns inherent in insects . The exhibit will explore nature through photography : the colors , the lines , and most of all , the beauty . Ric Nielsen , who has lived in Tucson for more than 47 years , is a graduate of the University of Arizona , worked for the City of Tucson as the Art Director for 31 years , and is the Senior Graphic Designer at the University of Arizona Recreation Department .

August 24 - September 28 Artists ’ Reception Friday , August 25 , 3 – 5 pm Works by the Tucson J ’ s Early Childhood Education and Special Needs Services participants will be on display . Please stop by the Tucson J ’ s Fine Art Gallery to see the artistic talents of The J ’ s ECE students and SNS participants .
Preview Show - Art Trails & Heart of Tucson Art Fall Studio Tours
September 29 - October 18 Artists ’ Reception , Wednesday , October 18 , 6 – 8 pm Kicking off the studio tours , a preview show September 29 to October 18 will highlight the work of the artists in the two fall Sculpture by Pat Frederick studio tours . This is a great opportunity to see examples of many artists ’ work in one location .
ARIZONA PORTRAITS by Moira Marti Geoffrion
October 19 - November 29 Artist ’ s Reception , Sunday , October 29 , 2 – 4 pm ARIZONA PORTRAITS focuses on the unique characteristics and “ personalities ” of people , regional birds and animals , which are combined in quilt-like grid groupings . Moira Geoffrion served as the head of the Art Department at the University of Arizona , where she also taught sculpture . She has taught drawing and mixed media for more than 30 years .
Spiritual Voices
November 30 - January 10 , 2018 Artists ’ Reception , Sunday , December 3 , 2 – 4 pm Spiritual Voices - This invitational exhibit provides a venue for artists who see their work as an expression of their spiritual journey . It is the first exhibit of Sacred Voices representing artists from Southwestern Arizona .
