Opening of Technology Solutions Centre in Bangalore Represents Significant Milestone in AMETEK SMP’s Engagement with India More than 100 AMETEK customers attended the inauguration on October 10 of the new AMETEK Technology Solutions Centre in Bangalore, India, officially opened by Mr P. Ramdas, President of the Indian Machine Tools Manufacturers’ Association. This event represented a significant milestone in the history of the company’s 10-year involvement in India, a market of ever-growing importance for AMETEK Specialty Metal Products (SMP). “We are seeing significant growth in India across the aerospace, defense, automotive, and oil and gas industries. For example, the Indian automotive industry is currently preparing for the introduction of stricter emissions regulations (BS-IV) that are in line with US and European standards.
