Etalon
establishes
subsidiary in
the US
In order to better serve North American customers, measurement technology specialist Etalon has
established Etalon North America Inc.
Founded in Kirkland, WA, the new subsidiary will help Etalon focus on the strong North American
aerospace and high-precision industrial machine sectors.

Etalon AG, founded as a spin-off from the German
National Metrology Institute PTB (PhysikalischTechnische Bundesanstalt) in 2004, offers complete
system solutions for the calibration, monitoring
and accuracy enhancement of machine tools and
measuring machines. Innovative technologies have
made Etalon products efficient and easy to handle.
Highest accuracy ensures a clear advantage in a
demanding environment. In the area of machine
compensation, Etalon is an official Zeiss Business

Bruce Fiander is the new subsidiary’s General
Manager. Bruce has spent his career in industrial
and aerospace sales. He has extensive experience
in portable industrial metrology, particularly in
the aerospace sector. “Bruce’s background, and his
knowledge of this industry, are ideal qualifications
for proficiently serving Etalon’s growing clientele in
North America,” explains Dr. Schwenke.
