WHAT ARE SOME THINGS YOU ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO DOING AROUND THE METROPLEX FOR 2019? I love that Dallas has such a vibrant art scene, from visual to performing arts, there is truly something for everyone. Each year I anxiously await the Opera, Symphony, and Ballet to announce their upcoming seasons. The travelling exhibitions featured at the Dallas Museum of Art are also of special interest to me, many of them begin international tours here. The Dallas Arboretum comes alive in the Spring, it’s the perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon. Take a picnic with you for a relaxing lunch on the lawn, or perhaps if you are feeling a little fancier, make a reservation for afternoon tea in the DeGolyer House. YOU PRETTY MUCH HAVE A PULSE ON EVERYTHING IN DALLAS... WHAT ARE SOME OF THE LATEST & GREATEST OR COMING SOON THINGS TO KNOW... Dallas is constantly growing and changing. New things open daily, so there is never a shortage of activities. A few exciting things I’m looking forward to next year. Cirque du Soliel is coming to Grand Prairie with a show called Amaluna. The Deep Ellum Arts festival, which supports local artists, and is where I always find something new and creative for my home. Finally, my favorite national holiday (or at least it should be) Kentucky Derby Day. There are numerous watch parties around Dallas, and to me, it’s the official kick off to summer! I would love to share more tips and advice about my favorite city, please always feel free to reach me at [email protected]. I look forward to welcoming you to Dallas and being part of your Texas experience! 8
