Did you know when straws and plastic bags are not disposed of properly, they can
become a danger to wildlife, polluting their habitats on land and in the water?
Straws are the number one item found in beach clean ups. Think reusable! You can
purchase a reusable tote bag in our Main Gift Shop. We also have reusable straws
with our colorful reusable souvenir cups.
Last year, we went bagless at our gift shop and saved over 80,000 plastic bags from
becoming environmental waste! The Zoo does not offer disposable straws or cup tops for the safety of the
animals and environment.
CONSERVATION ONE TRANSACTION AT A TIME
Did you know that with any purchase, you can round up your spare change to the nearest dollar and support
animal conservation? These nickels and dimes may not seem like much, but together we can make an impact!
HALLOWEEN DISCOUNT!
During "The World's Largest Halloween Party!"
presented by Meijer, the Louisville Zoo will have reusable $2 Halloween
trick or treat bags for sale during party nights. Bring your own bag or buy a
sweet Louisville Zoo bag to collect your treats. Brighten the night for your
little princesses and superheroes with our selection of glow wands and
other fun light up merchandise.
Don’t forget to stop by concession stands to enjoy our special seasonal
treats including s’mores!
