VOLUNTEERS Come lend a hand… Calling on groups with members that are age 15 and older! Are you looking for a group project? Check out the volunteer opportunities at the Louisville Zoo. See some on-going projects below. Horticulture Department Assist with beautifying our grounds by mulching, pulling grasses, planting bulbs and more! Maintenance Department Mercy Academy brightens up the Zoo. Paint, mend fences and help with other odd jobs. Special Events Join our bustling events team and bring the community together for fun Zoo events like Santa's Safari. Once you volunteer at the Zoo, you’ll want to come back each year! We have several groups that assist us yearly including UAW – Ford, UPS, PNC, Humana, Mercy Academy, Saint X and Bullitt East NHS, Nur Islamic School and duPont Manuel Key Club, to name a few. New treats are coming this spring! Stop by the Snack Shack (near Butterfly exhibit) for a Dole Whip Float ($5.99 + tax): a delicious combination of fresh pineapple juice and Dole soft serve.
