METAZOO 2019 SAFARI DAY CAMPS Hours: Drop Off: 8 – 9 a.m. Camp: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Pick Up: 4 – 5 p.m. Spend your school breaks at the wildest camp in town! All camps include Zoo walks, presentations, attraction rides, and up-close encounters with Zoo ambassador animals. Plus our extended hours for parents continue through the spring and summer! Choose an option below based on your child’s grade level. Parents should provide a non- refrigerated lunch and snacks for your child daily. Learn about what makes these big animals so special as they move about their world. Are you ready for a colossal adventure with our planets largest and tallest animals? Get ready for another exciting summer filled with all new camp options, one-of-a-kind experiences and hands-on adventures. Campers will enjoy a wide range of exciting camp topics for every grade level, like Colossal Creatures, Jaws and Paws, Monkey Business, Fantastic Beasts and Vet Camp. Grade 1 – 3: Fantastic Felines Camp sessions can include special guests, personalized visits to the animal exhibits and the Zoo’s rides and attractions. Our small group sizes ensure each camper gets an enriching experience. Plus, our extended hours and convenient car line drop off service makes Safari Day Camp a perfect choice for kids and parents! Campers can attend camp for the grade they have completed OR the grade they will be entering in the fall. All programs are week long (2 weeks for grades 4-6); parents should provide a lunch and snack for their child each day. See you this summer! The Lion is King of this camp! Pounce with pumas, stalk with tigers and leap with leopards. Get an up-close look at all our furry big cats at the Louisville Zoo. Grade 4 – 6: Pondering Primates It is great to be a primate. Explore all these fascinating animals and get a sneak peek at our brand-new exhibit. Learn how recycling our electronics can help save these precious animals. You can make a difference.
