Water Step Recycle Sunday
Sunday, April 14; 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Recycle a pair of gently used shoes at the Zoo!
WaterStep's donated shoe collection helps to provide
safe water to developing communities and on average
prevents 30,000 pounds of shoe waste from going
into landfills.
Eco-Cell Recycle Sunday &
Gorilla Conservation Day

Drop off your old cell phones at the Zoo. Save $1 off
admission while you help save wildlife! In Gorilla Forest,
there will be Zoo keeper talks, education stations
and more!
Save the Rhino Day
Saturday, April 27; 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Charge on over and learn more about rhinos.
Enjoy special keeper talks and meet Letterman and
Sindi, our southern white rhinos, plus our new
rhino mascot Leroy.
Earth Day Celebration
Sunday, April 28
10 a.m. – 5 p.m. (stay until 6 p.m.)
Celebrate Earth Day with special keeper talks,
more than 20 community eco-partner displays
(10 a.m. – 2 p.m.) and $8.25 Zoo admission all day
courtesy of the LG&E and KU Foundation — plus FREE
parking! Visit LG&E and KU’s Mini City display and
Louie the Lightning Bug mascot.
