CUTTING MACHINERY
Sagetech success at Euro Trophex
and Trophex in 2019
Following on from
their recent success
at EuroTrophex and
Trophex Exhibitions,
Sagetech Machinery
would like to
introduce you
to one of their
recent clients.
This recent case
study gives you an
insight into Vertical
Panel Saws and
the main reasons
behind making the
investment into
the machine.
FAULTLESS. Smithfield Timber
spoke to Craig who was really
helpful and discussed a few
different machine options with
them. He offered a great deal on
the KF16 and they ordered the
machine within a couple of days
of first speaking with Craig.
As they ordered just before
Christmas, they waited a just
a few weeks for delivery of the
machine which worked well for
both Smithfield Timber and
Sagetech Machinery.
How did Smithfi eld
Timber fi nd the
delivery and
installation process?
The owner was on holiday when
the machine was delivered and
installed but Sagetech Machinery
received excellent feedback from
the team and no one had any
complaints or anything negative
to say about it.

Why did Smithfi eld Timber
purchase a new Vertical
Panel Saw?
Where did Smithfi eld
Timber hear about
Sagetech Machinery? They were previously using a Safety Speed
cut which they traded in for the Sagetech
KF16. They had outgrown the Safety Speed
Cut in both size and reliability for cutting the
amount of sheets they required, as their
demand had increased in the 7 years they
owned the machine. Smithfield Timber also
needed to replace the motor on their old
saw as it was not capable of coping with the
demand and due to this they decided they
needed a larger and more robust saw.
Last year they had received some brochures
at their premises and kept them on file.
When they realised they needed to upgrade
their Safety Speed Cut, the leaflet was
to hand and so they called Sagetech
Machinery first. How did Smithfi eld Timber
fi nd the process from initial
enquiry to purchasing their
machine?

What benefi ts have
Smithfi eld Timber
seen from the
machine since having it
installed?
They have reported it is so much more
reliable. It isn’t burning the MDF which
Smithfield Timber were having problems
with the Safety Speed Cut. The motor wasn’t
strong enough for the material they were
using whereas with the Vertical Panel Saw,
it is, so that problem has been eliminated.
Smithfield Timber can comfortably cut the
sheets they need in line with their demand
and it gives them more reliability for their
customers.
