October 18-20: Camp Wildcat Reenactment The Union cavalry pre- pares to attack the Confederates while the Union artillery wait for the space in front of them to clear before they can fire the can- nons. Just behind the artillery is where specta- tors are seated. They get to be really close to the action! Camp Wildcat Reenactment dates are always the third full weekend in October. This year's dates fall on Oct. 18-20. Friday is school day and area schools are encouraged to bring classes out to Living History Day where they can partici- pate in hands-on history and listen to first-per- son impersonators. The event is free and open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the weekend with the bat- tles around 2 p.m. both days. Visit the Camp Wildcat website at www.wildca- treenactment.com.
