for the Halloween Murder Mystery Weekend. In 2019, the event will be Oct. 25-26. Both nights feature different shows and the weekend package includes lodging, dinner, breakfast and the mystery shows. STORYTELLING FESTIVAL Cumberland Falls State Resort Park also is home to the Cumberland Falls Storytelling Festival which is a weekend of storytelling held in March. Stephen Hollen, professional storyteller and organizer of the event, said the festival and the art of storytelling "isn't just for kids." "It's entertainment — it's not reading books, it's telling historical stuff, funny stuff," said Hollen. "People don't realize that storytelling isn't 'once upon a time there were three bears.' It's about your life experience, it's about the way things used to be, it's about old time stories and stories that just happened — just about a lot of things." OTHER EVENTS Special events are held throughout the year to educate guests at Cumberland Falls about a variety of topics surrounding nature, outdoor activities and more.
