Still await- ing the approval of the Ken- tucky Horse Racing Commis- sion, the Corbin Tri-County Joint Industrial Development Authority, along with a part- nership by Churchill Downs Incorporated and Keeneland Association, have been mak- ing strides in preparing for the horse racing facility when and if that license is awarded to them. Dirt is already being moved at the location of the proposed horse track on the Corbin Bypass, but 2019 may be the year that the walls fina - ly go up on the facility. In addition to the new busi- nesses looking at coming to Corbin, the businesses in town continue to attract tourists and locals. The Corbin Arena has been bringing various entertainment acts and family fun shows over the last few years giving locals and tourists a chance to catch a show and eat dinner in Corbin.
