Craig Steere of Craig Steere Architects says that on the one hand there was a call for a relaxed, beach aesthetic, but there was also a desire for a touch of the Hamptons. “The project was all about achieving a balance between these two ideals,” he says. “At the same time we had to accommodate a long, narrow site and maximise the views from all areas of the house.”
