There are 3 key segments covered in this report: geography segment, end use/application segment and competitor segment. Carbon-fiber monocoque design is commonly used in racing cars since 1980's, like Formula racing and Le Mans series prototypes. The first production car with carbon-fiber monocoque design was McLaren F1. Now most modern sports cars and supercars have carbon-fiber monocoque cells, and some big car manufacturers have also started applying the same in passenger cars like BMW i3. To produce a carbon fiber, the carbon atoms are bonded together in crystals that are more or less aligned parallel to the long axis of the fiber as the crystal alignment gives the fiber high strength-to-volume ratio (making it strong for its size). Several thousand carbon fibers are bundled together to form a tow, which may be used by itself or woven into a fabric. Carbon fibers are usually combined with other materials to form a composite. When impregnated with a plastic resin and baked it forms carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer (often referred to as carbon fiber) which has a very high strength-to-weight ratio, and is extremely rigid although somewhat brittle. Carbon fibers are also composited with other materials, such as graphite, to form reinforced carbon-carbon composites, which have a very high heat tolerance. For geography segment, regional supply, application-wise and type-wise demand, major players, price is presented from 2013 to 2023. This report covers following regions:  North America  South America  Asia & Pacific  Europe  MEA (Middle East and Africa) The key countries in each region are taken into consideration as well, such as United States, China, Japan, India, Korea, ASEAN, Germany, France, UK, Italy, Spain, CIS, and Brazil etc.
