LIFE IN LOS ANGELES
Our studio starlet this season, Wold, stopped into town for a hot
second and we caught her with just enough time to squeeze her
in for a shoot. After only a few months out west her Instagram
account took off. “My favorite part about working with Instagram
photographers is the connections it creates. I’ll shoot with one and
then another one will reach out to me because they saw me on
Instagram. Some of my best friends are photographers that I met
through Instagram.”
However, moving out to Los Angeles at such a young age has been
anything but a walk in the park. “One of the biggest challenges about
moving to LA was leaving the only place I’ve ever known, the place
that really shaped me as a person. If you told me a year ago that I
was going to get on a plane right after graduating high school and
move halfway across the country, I wouldn’t have believed it! But I
FaceTime my family and friends often and try my best to bring Minnesota-nice to California.”
Despite the challenges of being away from home, Wold has kept her
eyes on the future of her career. “One of my biggest goals this year
in modeling is to travel. I hope to get the opportunity to work in other
countries and just see the world! I have friends who have walked in
fashion weeks all around the world and I hope to get to experience
that as well."
Wold arrived on set fresh-faced and excited to shoot. She went
straight into hair and make up, and chatted about her short time
spent with her family and friends. We photographed and shot video
around of three looks. With every outfit we had her in we focused on
one main fashion tips, oversized items, staple wardrobe pieces, and
silhouette.
