Assessment and Diļ¬€erentiation Our assessment process aims to gather important information to not only determine final achievements, but also assess where your child is on their learning journey, steer planning and also to set specific goals for your child's individual development. In addition to the end of Term & Year Reports and regular Parent-Teacher meetings the following assessments take place to ensure your child is meeting the required level for their age: a Phonics Screening test at the end of Year 1 & a British Standard Assessment Test (SAT) at the end of Year 2 in English Reading, Grammar, Punctuation, Spelling and Maths. Our commitment to differentiation means that our work programs, individual learning tasks and teaching strategies will all be modified when required, to meet the individual needs of every student. The practice of differentiation allows all students to access the curriculum, operate within their own level of ability, demonstrate progress and feel a sense of achievement.
