One word. Wow!
It’s been an incredible summer thus far. As we wind down the final true month of summer, we look forward to more great visitors to Cayman Landing. We’ve seen an increase in camping and cabin visitors this summer. We’ve hosted several reunion and wedding groups and the month of August is filled with more. It has been so great to see familiar faces and we’ve met some wonderful new folks who were passing through. It’s great when they decide to spend an extra night, or two, at our wonderful campground.
Ultimately it is all of you that make this happen. Your help and commitment to making Cayman Landing such a great place is greatly appreciated by me and all who work at the Cayman office.
We want to thank the Cayman Camper’s Club, which continues to conduct great events for all ages. We also salute the Treasure Lake Lions' Club for their efforts in conducting Bingo at the Cayman Lodge. Together, we're working towards a great Labor Day Weekend. We’ll have details posted as soon as we get everything together.
I also want to thank all of our workers that have been scooping ice cream and working at the Cayman Lodge. We had to move quickly to make this happen. Their efforts are greatly appreciated and you, the customers, are thanked for being such wonderful patrons.
I had the opportunity to speak to the property owners and the Board at the July 20th work session. I felt much pride in doing this. We have made great strides in the four years that I’ve been able to serve you from the Cayman Office. We still have much work to do, but by working together and being fiscally responsible, we’ll continue to make a difference.
While summer does wind down, I must confess that Fall is my favorite season of the year. The beauty of our area at this time is simply awesome.
