TECHNOLOGY
This section aims to outline several broad themes the participants have
identified as issues the community has with regards to technology. This section
will also highlight several solutions that will help to address the technological
concerns of the Tamil youth.
Technology has become an integral
part of everyone’s lives, personally
and professionally, regardless of their
chosen field of work. However, based
on the ground survey, as seen in
figure 19, at least 65% of the
participants feel that as a community
we have not leveraged on technology
for progress.
It has to be acknowledged that the
community’s
relationship
with
technology exists perhaps on a
spectrum, and understanding this
helps to cater to their varying needs.
The discussions revolved around the
following topics in an attempt to
understand how the Tamil community
could benefit by using technology.
