Issue / Strategy
AT‐2 Security concerns at hospital
If a medical emergency happens in the surrounding area and Travis’s hospital is the nearest to it, patients are taken there with or without background
check / security clearance.
AT‐2A General
Adjust Travis AFB fence
Travis AFB should consider conducting a feasibility study to evaluate adding a
fenced separation between the David Grant Medical Center and the rest of the
Base to reduce security concerns of people entering the hospital that should not
have access to the Base itself.

Develop Conservation of Sensitive Species Management Plan
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW), US Fish and Wildlife
Service (USFWS), and Travis AFB should collaborate to fund and develop a
management plan for the conservation of sensitive species and habitats that are
found on Travis AFB. Any agreed upon strategies should be incorporated into an
update of the installation’s Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan
(INRMP).
