4.12 Other Resources Videos
In the interest of land use compatibility between the military and local 
communities, the DOD Office of Economic Adjustment (OEA) and other 
public interest groups, such as the National Association of Counties (NACo), 
have prepared educational documents and videos that educate and inform 
the public about encroachment issues and methods that can be used to 
address existing or future compatibility concerns. The following are five 
resources that have been published to inform the public on land use 
compatibility.  The Base Next Door: Community Planning and the Joint Land Use Study 
Program, OEA 
This informative video discusses the issue of encroachment near military 
installations as urban development occurs within the vicinity.  This video can
