I
f you have ever decided to visit Russia one of the first
questions you will have is How Do I Get A Russian
Visa? Alex Nikonov from Rusmoto Travel gives his
advice and a few tips that could help any rider wanting
to tackle the worlds largest country ...
Let's begin, here's a general guide to obtaining a VISA
for Russia:
1. There are countries that citizens can enter Russia
without a visa, for example; Brazil, South Korea, South
Africa and approximately 15-20 more. If you are lucky to
live in a country that doesn't need a visa then most likely
you already know.
2. Unfortunately, most countries, including all of
Europe, UK, USA, Canada, and Australia, need a visa to
enter Russia.
A standard tourist visa is 30 days long, and can be sin-
gle or double entry. With the USA there's an exception,
there's the standard tourist visa for 30 days or there's also
a 3 year visa. But that is the only such exception that we
know of.
If you need more than 30 days for your trip the most
common way is to apply for a business visa, this can be 90
days, 180 days, 365 days and even 3-5 years, single, double
or multiple entrance is allowed.
There are many other types of visa, but they're gener-
ally not applicable to motorcycle travelling. Everybody
uses either a tourist or business visa.
You can apply for a 3-6 month visa before you plan to
visit Russia depending on your country of residence. The
