D-Day 75th Anniversary Trip
2019 will mark the 75th Anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of
Normandy. Come see Britain and France as it was then – and is
now. Walk the beaches of Normandy where Allied troops
landed on June 6, 1944, to liberate ‘Fortress Europe’.
Experience the sites and sights of where this battle took place
and where the ‘beginning of the end of WWII’ was. During the
week long D-Day events, we will honor the courage and
sacrifice of those who secured freedom for all of us. Don’t
miss your chance to be a part of this monumental event.
Itinerary
Monday, June 3: Depart Minneapolis for Paris, France at 8:00pm on a nonstop flight.
Tuesday, June 4: Arrive Paris at 11:10am and travel via train to Cherbourg where you will check into your hotel.
Wednesday, June 5 - Sunday, June 9: We will participate in a combination of activities at Sainte-Mère-Église, Chef du Pont, Picau-
ville, La Fiére, Utah Beach, Omaha Beach & American Cemetery, Pointe du Hoc, Amfreville, & Pegasus Bridge.
Monday, June 10: We take a train back to Paris and then transfer to the ‘Chunnel’ train where you will travel under the English Channel
on your way to London. After your afternoon arrival in London, take a train to Cambridge where you check into your hotel.
Tuesday, June 11: Tour Cambridge American Cemetery and Duxford Airfield.
Friday, June 12: Travel to one or more 8th Air Force Air Fields in East Anglia.
Saturday, June 13: Take a train back to London & check into your hotel. Tour London in the late afternoon & evening.
Sunday, June 14: Tour the City of London, Churchill War Rooms and various other sites.
Sunday, June 15: Your nonstop flight from London to Minneapolis departs at 12:55pm and arrives back home at 3:52pm.
