Puerto Rico also offers amazing views and experiences throughout its diverse land which includes tropical beaches, rainforests, and mountains. The main rainforest in Puerto Rico is called El Yunque National forest that contains paths that you can walk through. The beaches are a staple to any trip and are beautiful and clean. Additionally, through some hotels and rental programs, you can rent kayaks to further explore the waters of this island. There is lots to do in Puerto Rico, such as exploring the capital San Juan, and looking at the architecture and history of the island. From my own travels, I’ve noticed how the island has colorful houses and buildings that differ from what we see in the U.S. After taking in the new sights, you can explore places like the Guanica Dry Forest or the historic mansion, Castillo Serrallés, and the museum, Centro Ceremonial Indígena Tibes. The last two provide lots of historic and cultural information about the island, making it both a leisure and a learning experience.

By the Castillo Serrallés, you can ride an elevator to the top of the tower of Cruceta El Vigia and see an amazing view of the island, all while learning about the Cruceta El Vigia. In the Centro Ceremonial Indígena Tibes you can see fossils and artifacts of life from way before. There is even a mummified body on display! Outside, you can enter old-fashioned huts, replicas of what used to inhabit the island in older times. Besides visiting places on the island, you can also indulge yourself in new foods that are not offered in the U.S., or most likely anywhere else.

From aerial views to official languages, there are many reasons why Puerto Rico should be on your travel list. The island has cheap travel costs and is very accommodating for English speakers, as English is an official language. Puerto Rico also provides as a relaxing time by the beach or an educational trip around the city. With low airfare, and an abundance of things to do and learn, make Puerto Rico your next travel destination.
