Amsterdam is known for
its seedy underbelly. The
home of the ‘sex for sale’
red light district, relaxed
laws on drug taking and
live graphic pornography
shows. But, while hun-
dreds of thousands of tour-
ists flock to Amsterdam’s
nightlife scene, in order to
partake in its adrenaline
fuelled party life. Others
have come to enjoy the bo-
hemian, artistic lifestyle.
Many head for buildings
that house artwork from
Van Gough, Rembrandt
and many more.
But, personally I feel these
were missing out on the
modern day artistic cul-
ture. I fell head over heels
for the street perform-
ers of Amsterdam. This
man in particular graced
the pavement outside the
Banksy museum, colour-
ful bikes flank his ideal
jazz pose. This picture per-
fectly sums up the artistic
nature of Amsterdam that
many have missed over
the years.
