SAGE ONE PROS:

1. A simpler system to use, meaning that even if you are not comfortable with accounting, this system can still be used for the basic tasks.

2. Generates automated reports everyday so you can keep track of all aspects of your business.

3. Allows you to communicate with your accountant, team members and other business professionals.

4. You can customise create and send your invoices in just one click. Sage One has a number of templates that you can choose from, you can just add your logo, fill-in the details and send your invoice.

5. A bank feed module, which allows you to import bank data into the software.

5. Its cheaper than some of its main competitors.

6. Better software support than Xero, it has a dedicated technical support telephone line.

SAGE ONE CONS:

1. If you think its like the popular Sage Line 50, then think again. Its not as user friendly and does not have that familiar Sage look that many users would prefer.

2. The reporting function lets it down, and its very formulaic, and does not feel as bespoke as other cloud software solutions.

3. This does not suit larger business entities, and is mainly designed at the SME market.

Potential costs: Starts at £3.75 (Plus VAT) per calender month for the most basic to £15 (Plus VAT) per month for the advanced version. Add-on software solutions will vary.
