Journal Squared 21 KRE Group and National Real Estate Advisors have demolished the former Verizon building on Summit Avenue near the Journal Square PATH hub to make way for the second high-rise in the three-tower mixed-use Journal Squared development. The first tower, housing 538 rentable residential units on 53 floors, opened in early 2017. The second tower, spanning 70 stories and containing 700 units, will be the largest of the three buildings. The project ultimately calls for 1,838 residential units and approximately 36,000 square feet of retail space. 808 Pavonia Avenue 87 Newkirk Street Great Neck, New York developer Namdar Group has kicked off construction on a new 15-story residential tower at 87 Newkirk Street in the Journal Square area of Jersey City. The project includes 132 units, 25,000 square feet of shared office space and 1,500 square feet of retail space. Park & Shore The Harwood family received approvals to develop five LEED-certified buildings highlighted by two residential towers housing nearly 1,200 units at 808 Pavonia Avenue. The project will include a stand-alone museum and art gallery, a 126-seat theater and retail space. Groundbreaking on the project is expected in 2019. Strategic Capital, the real estate investment arm of China Construction America, continues construction on a new luxury condominium development called Park and Shore. The two building project, consisting of 75 Park Lane and Shore House is located in Jersey City’s Newport neighborhood. The 37-story 75 Park Lane will contain 358 residences, while Shore House will feature 71 units. Shore House is expected to be completed in late 2018, while 75 Park Lane is slated for occupancy in the fall of 2019.
