Abu Dhabi Chamber Executed the Biggest Training Strategy for Developing HR Programs for 2014 Events in the Middle East

The executed programs came within the training and development plan of the Human Resources Department for the year 2014.

The plan focused on a number of axes starting with developing knowledge and excellence which can be achieved through obtaining skills and necessary capabilities to help in executing the strategy and plans of the Chamber.

His Excellency Mohammed Helal Al-Muhairi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, said that the training program of the HR department for the year 2014 was the biggest in the history of the Chamber in regard to investing in the human resources. The percentage of what has been invested in rose 260% compared to 2013, noting that the plan last year focused on executing specialized training sessions contributed to elevating competency and productivity of the employees.

Al-Muhairi added that the work strategy of the Chamber for the coming period requires excellence in performance and in the diversity and quality of services as well as giving a priority to continuous development in all work aspects and supporting outstanding employees through helping them adopt ideas, programs and projects which achieve the targets of the members of the Chamber who are its main poles. He noted that the training strategy will continue through 2015 and the years to come.

“In order to realize excellence, the Chamber worked on developing the capabilities and performance of its employees so that it can meet the demands of its members,” he said, adding that the management of the Chamber will continue executing what started two years ago from developing and refining the skills of the employees in order to be able to handle the change and development which cover all the operations of the Chamber, its activities and services as well as its image before the society.

The training plan for 2014 included 112 general and special training programs and workshops that covered all fields and all levels for all the employees of the Chamber regardless of their employment grade.

“The training plan for 2015 will focus on a number of skills represented in strategic planning, directing and guiding, negotiation, corporate excellence, managing projects, coordinating and follow up programs as well as programs on the environment, health and safety.

The programs are built on what the employees need from skills and competencies for the coming period and what helps them perform their assignments and duties perfectly.
