biz-group Secures Exclusive Rights to Deliver GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ Team Challenge Events in the Middle East

Bringing the power of record-breaking to organizations, biz-group has announced it has secured the rights to the Team Challenge event.

For businesses looking for original corporate event ideas, the Guinness World Records Team Challenge offers team building with a difference. With 15 genuine Guinness World Records titles to choose from, these events are designed to last between 1 – 2 hours, taking place either indoors or outdoors, and requiring participation from teams of 8 or more. Intended to appeal to all nationalities and people with different levels of physical ability, the challenges are fun, interactive and made as simple as possible, and are an excellent lesson in performance, teamwork, achieving results and camaraderie—with an added bonus of potentially breaking a Guinness World Records title and being classed ‘Officially Amazing’.

Andy Fieldhouse, Commercial Director at biz-group, said: “Having celebrated our 20th anniversary this year, and with a 10-year history of team building in the region, we are pleased to be associated with a company of Guinness World Records repute, and to be their official and exclusive representative in the region. Though the promise of a unique experience and the possibility of being a record-breaker are appealing to companies, the business benefits extend much further than that, encouraging strategic thinking, supporting teamwork initiatives, and focusing on team success and performance improvement.”

Paul O’Neill, Vice President at Guinness World Records, said: “I am excited the success of Team Challenge is now available in the Middle East and pleased to have someone of the standing of biz-group to execute the events for us. Team Challenge has been available to the UK’s top companies for the past two years and now, answering demand, we are making it available to new territories, starting with the GCC region. The Middle East is a hive of Guinness World Records activity, where people have a natural affinity with striving to be the world’s best—there is nowhere more suited to launch this globally.”

at Metro Riyadh

The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) has announced its program to train Saudis for jobs in Metro Riyadh, with the key goal being to Saudize 50 percent of the total workforce in the multi-billion project.

According to Al-Otaibi, TVTC has implemented a plan in coordination with government agencies and ministries to provide incentive training that aims to provide a well-equipped Saudi workforce.

The plan aims to achieve a 50 percent Saudi workforce in the project, entitled ‘Metro Riyadh’, in the first five years from the start of the operation.

This is part of the wider TVTC role in the implementation of vital projects by building strategic partnerships with implementing companies and specialized technical institutes.

TVTC is currently coordinating with the High Commission for Riyadh Development (HCRD) to discuss the mechanism of the strategic partnership.

In this context, a committee was formed which included the membership of a number of concerned authorities to provide the required national competencies for the management and operation of the project.
