Liggy Webb is MD of The Learning Architect.

Tell us more about what you do?

The Learning Architect is a consortium of behavioural skills specialists. We are based in Cheltenham in the UK and work nationwide and internationally. Our client base is varied and we work with an eclectic mix of public and private organizations.

The term VUCA is used quite often in business and it implies that we are now finding ourselves living in a Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous world. Our aim as a learning and people development organisation is to equip people with the right set of behavioural skills so that they can cultivate Vision, Understanding, Clarity and Agility through those inevitable challenges and relentless change.

What made you set-up The Learning Architect?

My background has always been in learning and development so I have amassed over the years many ideas of what a successful learning and development company could look like. My main motivation was to set up an organisation that brought together a pedigree group of behavioural skills specialists. The core values of our business are to focus on keeping things simple and most of all, sustainable.

Sustainability of learning is critical and so often I have witnessed through some learning interventions, no tangible demonstration of the return of the investment. I wanted to build an organisation that helped people to achieve visible and tangible targets and most of all create a long reaching “Learning Legacy”.

How do you help companies?

We help companies to really drill to the core of what they are trying to achieve through the behaviour of their people. We encourage companies to simplify their approach wherever possible and to monitor and evaluate through direct line management any learning outcomes.

What really underpins the delivery of our programmes is to equip people with a positive, agile, and resilient mind-set. This is key to helping people to survive and indeed thrive in turbulent times.

Which client projects have been a success?

Resilience Through Change is a large part of the work that we are delivering at the moment and we have achieved great success with companies that include The World Trade Organisation, Zurich and various public sector organizations and universities.

We are currently working on projects with McDonalds throughout their European head offices, Virgin Holidays, Nissan and The International Telecommunications Union.

A recent project In Northern Ireland resulted in this very positive feedback:

Armagh Council are going through a time of massive change, when three councils are about to merge into one new authority. The positive and straightforward approach of The Learning Architect left people energised and motivated with practical tools that they can use to take control of their own personal journey through the change process.

The feedback from the event was 100% positive.
