The Ontario Municipal Management Institute
Training Seminars
The Institute takes care of the details, saving
your staff valuable time and resources. We
confirm scheduling, location, training materi-
als, facilitator travel arrangements, certifi-
cates of attendance, and compile participant
feedback. The outlines provided in this catalogue are
basic. We expect and encourage our clients
to make these seminars their own; including
materials specific to your organization’s de-
sired outcomes of the training session is part
of the exceptional service OMMI provides.
Our facilitators are experts in their fields.
They work within the public sector, which
gives them specific and valuable insights into
the unique challenges and opportunities
within local government organizations. They
are engaging, knowledgeable presenters. Participants are asked to complete an evalu-
ation upon completion of the seminar. OMMI
tallies the results and provides a graphical
analysis and recommendations for future
seminars to the training coordinator.
Formats & Fees
| Rate: $3,225/day | Corporate Member Rate: $2,600/day
This is our most popular full-day seminar format. The in-house training seminar means
that your organization chooses and customizes a topic; our professional facilitator liaises
with your training coordinator to ensure your unique concerns, policies, and initiatives are
integrated into the training material. The Institute provides your training coordinator with
the workbooks, name tags, and handouts for the seminar. After the seminar, OMMI evalu-
ates the feedback our facilitators solicit from participants and send the training coordinator
a comprehensive summary of the participant feedback. Most seminars are one-day, but we
are flexible to provide multiple days, depending on your organization’s needs.
*Cost is based on 25 participants; client is responsible for facilitator travel expenses.

An excellent option for company-wide career development days, town hall meetings, and
other occasions that may warrant an address to a large group or a professional develop-
ment topic that has a depth and breadth suitable for diverse groups from a number of pro-
fessions within the local government sector.
